About Me
I'm Jose, an engineering leader and entrepreneur with 20+ years building high-performance technology teams across startups and enterprise platforms. I specialize in the hard part: making engineering and product move together, implementing AI where it actually changes outcomes, and building the organizational systems that let teams thrive.

What I Do
Most companies don't need a full time CTO before they're ready for one — they need the thinking, the decisions, and the direction right now. I provide senior technical leadership that fits your stage: defining architecture, building your engineering org, and making technology a competitive advantage instead of a bottleneck.
The most expensive dysfunction in technology companies is product and engineering pulling in different directions. I take ownership of both functions — eliminating the coordination overhead, aligning the roadmap to business outcomes, and moving from strategy to shipped product without the usual friction.
Building AI into production is harder than the demos make it look. I design and implement the systems that hold up under real conditions — LLM integrations, agentic pipelines, RAG architectures, and the infrastructure to run them reliably. No AI theater, just working software.
Deploying AI tools is the easy part. Changing how an organization actually thinks and works is where most efforts fail. I help teams redesign their workflows around real AI capabilities, build genuine literacy at every level, and create the conditions for adoption that outlasts the initial rollout.
